cross training


I am done with the notion of waiting around for calves to heal.  I am losing to much hard earned cardio conditioning in the process.  So I am going back to 1 hr of some other exercise, in my Speeds, other than running.  Here is the list I got so far:  Elliptical Machine, Swimming (they won't let my shoes in the pool, rowing, biking (although I am not a fan of the pain in the seat), weights and of course walking.  I'll run maybe once or twice a week for two miles or until the calf pain occurs.


  • Maybe if you ran less every time, it'll heal faster. that way you can transition into it easier?
    I do mostly ellipticals, and they don't seem to negatively affect my calves at all. Could be a good substitute
